My husband Alex and I were married in May of 2019 and we had to have our darling cat, Theodore, involved in our day.
But how would we transport him to and from the wedding venue?
Who would watch him during the ceremony?
Who would feed him, medicate him and take care of him on the wedding night?
These were things we didn’t consider until just before the big day! The last thing we wanted to do was take one of our friends or family away from celebrating with us...
Realising that nothing in our area offered these services, we fast forward to October 2019 and The Wedding Sitter was born.
At The Wedding Sitter, we’re committed to giving you the best experience imaginable and know exactly what it's like to plan a wedding - we will treat your pets like they're our own (and be their personal assistant for the day!)
We are the people who are there for your pets, so you can be there for the moments that matter.
Get in touch today to talk pets and weddings - our two favourite things!
Meet your pet’s wedding date!

I’m Karryn, an animal lover and qualified Vet Nurse, working in the veterinary industry since 2015. I gained my voluntary Veterinary Nurse Registration with the VNCA in 2020, a commitment to continued learning and a national code of conduct.
I have a background of more than 15 years in customer service and retail management roles, so I felt well-equipped to jump into the wedding industry!
My husband Alex and I live just outside of Geelong with our furry family - since our wedding we've adopted two Whippets, Stella & Millie. We are currently renovating our first home (and trying not to kill each other in the process 😅) You'll sometimes see Alex at weddings with me, taking photos and helping out if we're chaperoning multiple pets.
Pet Wedding Assistant
We welcomed Hannah to the Wedding Sitter team at the beginning of 2021.
Hannah has owned animals both big and small throughout her life; she is mum to an American Staffy named Peach, a beautiful kitty named Taco and a couple of horses on her family property.
She is a skilled horse rider and has completed a bachelors degree in zoology and animal science. Through her work as a veterinary assistant during her degree, Hannah has decided to continue her studies to one day become a Veterinarian.
Hannah is currently studying a secondary teaching degree.
